The IDSA Student Leadership Workshop
featuring The Leadership Academy
Tuesday, March 11, 2008
at North Central College (Naperville, Illinois)
Register NOW! Only the first 300 students can attend, and there will be no on-site registration!
There is no time like the Spring to refocus your student leaders and to begin training next year’s crop of leaders. The IDSA Student Leadership Workshop is geared towards improving skills of all leaders in your school. This workshop is for more than your student council members and class officers. It will benefit all emerging and prospective leaders within many of your clubs and teams.
Our feature presenters come from The Leadership Academy, an organization designed to help student leaders become the best they can be. The Leadership Academy's presenters will train your students to set goals, to develop an action plan, to understand their individual leadership styles, and to know when to use these skills.
The day will also include an Idea Exchange where students work with other schools to generate new ideas and to network with other student leaders. The day's program will conclude with A’ric Jackson, a motivational speaker skilled at connecting with the NOW generation and letting them know that there is someone willing to take a chance on them, to encourage their hopes and to make their dreams a reality!
This year's workshop will be held at North Central College in Naperville. Easily accessible from most major highways, the workshop will run from 8:30 until 1:30 PM. Cost of the registration includes a light breakfast, lunch, materials, and conference “spirit gear”.
The cost of this year's workshop is only $40.00 per student. Advisors are welcome to attend at a reduced rate of $20.00 per advisor.
Registrations received after March 1 will be assessed a $5 per person late registration fee.
There is no per-school limit to the number of students, but total registration is limited to 300. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
There will be no on-site registration on March 11.
