Recognize Those Who Excel
To be recognized and supported by your students and peers is the ultimate compliment in the profession of education. The Illinios Directors of Student Activities are searching for amazing, dynamic, creative leaders to be saluted and recognized at the Annual Awards Banquet. We hope that you will help us disseminate information about the awards program so that colleagues, community members, administrators, parents and students will take this opportunity to recognize those key members in your high school who best exemplify the attributes for the IDSA Educator Awards. Nominees should be exceptionally skillful and dedicated individuals who play an active role in promoting the culture and climate of your school community.
Each year, educators are recognized in five categories (linked below and at left):
- Principals' Recognition Award
recognizes principals' participation, support and commitment to student activities - Community Educator of the Year
recognizes persons involved in student activity program initiatives in the area of community service - Distinguished Service Award
recognizes persons who have made lifetime contributions impacting student activity programs - Educational Leadership Award
recognizes persons who have implemented creative and innovative student activities programs - Activity Director of the Year
recognizes individuals who have made exemplary and consistent contributions to the development and implementation of their high school's student activities programs
The Awards Program is a cooperative effort designed both to honor outstanding members in the Student Activities domain and to promote awareness of the quality of Student Activity Clubs, Programs and Events being provided in Illinois high schools across the state. We encourage you to take the time to review the application (linked at left) and to submit a candidate you think is worthy of this recognition.
